GED Mathematical Reasoning Practice Test

The GED Mathematical Reasoning test evaluates your ability to solve mathematical problems using reasoning, modeling, and application. This practice test contains 30 questions that cover the same topics and format as the actual GED Math test.

What to Expect on the GED Math Test

The Mathematical Reasoning section tests your knowledge in:

  • Basic Math (20-30%): Arithmetic operations, decimals, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
  • Geometry (20-30%): Area, perimeter, volume, coordinate geometry, and geometric reasoning
  • Algebra (25-30%): Linear equations, inequalities, quadratic equations, and functions
  • Data Analysis (20-30%): Statistics, probability, and data interpretation

You'll have 115 minutes to complete 46 questions on the actual test. Our practice test focuses on the most common question types and difficulty levels you'll encounter.

Tips for GED Math Success

  • Use the on-screen calculator provided (TI-30XS MultiView calculator)
  • Read each question carefully and identify what is being asked
  • Use the formula sheet provided during the test
  • Show your work when possible to avoid calculation errors
  • Eliminate obviously wrong answer choices
