GED Science Practice Test

The GED Science test evaluates your understanding of scientific concepts and your ability to apply scientific reasoning skills. This practice test contains 30 questions that mirror the content and format of the actual GED Science examination.

GED Science Test Content Areas

The Science section covers four main areas:

  • Life Science (40%): Human body systems, health and nutrition, heredity and reproduction, evolution and natural selection, ecosystems and environment
  • Physical Science (40%): Chemical reactions and equations, conservation of mass and energy, motion and force, waves, electricity and magnetism
  • Earth and Space Science (20%): Solar system and universe, weather and climate, earth structure and plate tectonics, natural resources and environment

You'll have 90 minutes to complete approximately 34 questions on the actual test. The questions test your ability to comprehend, apply, analyze, and evaluate scientific information.
